Artichoke pesto pizza. Never tried an artichoke before so we decided to take a challenge. It was quite unique as it is a bit soury and chewy like a baby bamboo shoot. Went quite well with the pesto. And i kinda like the crunchy crust. Would really love to go back for more wood fire oven pizza!

Ice blended coconut. Taste quite milky but i like the coconut bits in every sip of this! Very refreshing and cooling. A must-try in Coconut House.

The pizza and eggplant are outstanding.. Very yummy.. But the roasted mushroom as shown in the photo tasted a bit stench... The location is quite hard to find though... Overall 👍🏼👍🏼👏👏

The first time I've eaten here (like 3 years ago, I think?)... nothing to shout about.

But this year, twice I've comeby and they have improved. One of the few places to get (a larger variety of) pasta and pizza with toppings outside the norm (let's see if you can find artichoke pizza, no easy wei. dip got la). My bro is ok with this place (picky omnivore), so bring your other friends to makan2 here.

The baked pear in red wine is the perfect dessert to complete the meal. Soft juicy pear soaked in rich red wine and honey sauce, paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The perfect indulgence!

The ambience of this cosy little restaurant is lovely and their collection of LPs and classic movie soundtracks is delightful. The food is wholesome and tasty but somewhat unremarkable. My friends had the pasta and eggplant parmigiana. I chose the giambotta because I prefer vegan food that consist of vegetables rather than processed foods, but found that it tasted rather like a bland chinese stir-fry, with strong hints of garlic but no rosemary, thyme or other herbs. Still, the vegetables were fresh and crisp and not overcooked. Service is pleasant and they remembered our request for no plastic straws as we had brought our own stainless steel straws. We didn’t have time for dessert or to try their durian pizza this round, so I would like to return to try other items on their menu.

We were at Jaya One as Mr Jazz Guitarist Az Samad had a radio interview with CITYPlus Sarawak FM92.5. Since we were already there, I thought we should check out the food at Coconut House as I knew they've had a meal deal for sometime.

I'm usually quite wary of eating at Italian places as there's always so much cream, eggs, milk and cheese. But I figured we could ask them if they could veganise any of their dishes. The vegetarian dishes are all clearly marked on their menu so it's a matter of checking if they can omit the non-vegan ingredients.

It took us a bit of effort as the lady serving us didn't even know about the KindMeal coupon until I opened up the app on my phone to show it to her. And she couldn't tell us whether they can omit the eggs, dairy, etc so we spoke to the cook directly instead. He very quickly told us what we could have so that was great.

We tried the 2 pizzas:
1. Medicine Man - RM19.90
Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Olive - requested to omit Mozzarella

2. Company of Mushrooms RM19.90
Mushroom, Thyme - requested to omit Mozzarella & Parmesan

I didn't have any high expectations from this place so was pleasantly surprised by how nice the pizza crusts were. It's a pity the lady who served us seemed quite distant and non-responsive even though we smiled and tried to chat with her but the cook was really nice. We sat outside because the inside seating seemed to have the remaining smells of cigarette smoke even though there's a no smoking sign displayed outside. Strange...
