A caving trip in Gopeng, Perak left my sis and I famished and we decided to try our luck finding a vegan-friendly dinner in Ipoh.
Thankfully, Golden Point Food Court was the one of the first places that appeared on an online search, with glorious photos of Lui Cha!
A Hakka-style dish of veggies on rice with a signature bowl of soup made of peanuts and local herbs, Lui Cha (or Lei Cha) is a labour-intensive meal to make, and I taste love in every bowl I’ve ever had.
An Asian treasure of plant-based nutrients and a must-try for all vegan travellers in Malaysia... foreign and local alike!
P.S. Some versions contain dried shrimp, so make sure yours doesn't have any!
