It’s been a while since I’ve made a smoothie bowl! I always rely on oats to keep mine thick and sturdy, but I have learned that full fruit ones are a league of their own with their silky melt-in-your-mouth texture. Here’s a super easy one for you to try. It is achievable with a normal blender with blades that can tolerate ice. It needs a little patience with pushing the ingredients down with a spoon in between blending, but the results are super worth it. If you can find an ice tray that freezes water into smaller-than-usual cubes, it helps hasten the blending process too.⠀ ⠀ 4- INGREDIENT DRAGONFRUIT SMOOTHIE BOWL⠀ ⠀ 🌱1 cup dragonfruit, diced into small pieces and frozen overnight ⠀ 🌱1 cup ripe banana, diced into small pieces and frozen overnight ⠀ 🌱1/2 cup ice cubes⠀ 🌱2 tbsp non-dairy milk powder (e.g. soy, coconut) OR Plant-based protein powder⠀ ⠀ Place all ingredients into a blender and blend in short pulses. In between the pulses, use a spoon to stir around the ingredients and scrape them down the walls.⠀ The mixture will slowly turn into a thick paste and your pulses can last a little longer. ⠀ When the mixture is smooth and even, transfer immediately to a bowl and decorate with fruits, nuts and/or granola of choice.⠀
