Day 7 of self-quarantine and while I’m happily munching on salads for my cleanse, the partner is running out of ideas for his own meals. So I decided to offer a helping hand. In between preparing my own lunch, I quickly boiled some mulukhiya noodles from @a_bit_less and tossed them in some Chinese Olive paste and a tiny bit of light and dark soy sauce just to add some moisture. I discovered olive paste during my kungfu days in Jiangsu province and when you’re eating the same grub week in and week out, adding olive paste to the rice for the first time was like stumbling upon a goldmine. I now always make sure there’s a jar of it in my fridge. Probably not the healthiest thing in the world but when you’re pressed for time it’s a lifesaver! The pan-fried tempeh has been sprinkled with ground flaxseed, sesame and cayenne powder. These are some of the last bits of veggies we’ve got, so it’s time to mask up and venture out into ghost town! Hope everyone’s staying healthy and safe.
