My first time making Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) was both a hit and a miss. I left the cloves inside the soup thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal if they were eaten. Oh it was a big deal alright. Those clove bombs were NASTY. The soup itself though was brilliant. I had boiled some black eyed peas in the morning and used that water as veggie stock, and accompanied my bowl with some ginger soy baked tofu. I made references to the Pho recipes by It doesn't taste like chicken and @thespruceeats. Thanks to everyone who has shared their kitchen adventures with me during lockdown! It has been inspiring me heaps to try new things like this too. May we have another safe and productive week ahead!
