Homemade Ulam Peanut Pesto allows me to eat on the cheap and be happy til I weep šŸ˜­ In a store over the weekend I saw a RM20 tag on a tiny jar of imported vegan pesto. For that price, I can easily make about four times as much at home using nuts bought in bulk and fresh Malaysian herbs. Making use of whatā€™s available at the local market is the key to making plant-based living affordable in Malaysia. My Pesto recipe was published earlier this year in the papers, but I have realized itā€™s not my website yet. When itā€™s there youā€™ll be the first to know! Iā€™ve stirred it here into Roast Potatoes and enjoyed it together with Eggplant, Tomato-fried Chickpeas and Choy Tam (Cabbage Shoot) Chips.
