Homemade Ulam Peanut Pesto allows me to eat on the cheap and be happy til I weep 😠In a store over the weekend I saw a RM20 tag on a tiny jar of imported vegan pesto. For that price, I can easily make about four times as much at home using nuts bought in bulk and fresh Malaysian herbs. Making use of what’s available at the local market is the key to making plant-based living affordable in Malaysia. My Pesto recipe was published earlier this year in the papers, but I have realized it’s not my website yet. When it’s there you’ll be the first to know! I’ve stirred it here into Roast Potatoes and enjoyed it together with Eggplant, Tomato-fried Chickpeas and Choy Tam (Cabbage Shoot) Chips.
