My sister who lives in Sabah made a visit to KL for a week with her fam, and in that week alone she organized 2 birthday parties for my niece. I volunteered making some food for the bigger second party, and completely underestimated the time needed to make 4 dishes! This photo of my No-Bake Choc Tofu Mousse Pie with a Roast Hazelnut-Date Crust, fresh Banana Layer, Choc Shavings and Aquafaba Whipped Cream was taken in a rush with a huff and a puff and in the final rays of sunset before shuttling it to Mummy’s place for the party. Aside from watching @jamieoliver’s Vegan Choc Pots video for reference, I largely went into making it blind and hoped for the best. It turned out VERY mushy... but the taste was oh so gorgeous! The leftovers were frozen, which made for a much slice-able pie. Notes taken! I’ve learned that no matter how poorly some food turns out at gatherings, family time kisses it all better. I hope you are enjoying quality time with loved ones this Ramadan too.
