🌽VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES with Raw Chef Yin featuring Gekil Vegetarian for steamboat!🌽
I think after seeing Instagram posts on steamboats and hot pots, I was kinda craving for a steamboat meal.
I was half thinking of making my own, but then I saw on IG that there’s a vegetarian steamboat offered at Gekil Vegetarian.
🙌Plus since KindMeal is offering a meal deal at Gekil, we decided to check them out.
We ordered a la carte:
Mala Spicy Soup (Half) RM15.00
Herbal Soup (Half) RM8.50
Chinese Cabbage RM4.00
Kang Kung RM3.00
Lady Finger RM3.50
Fresh RM4.50
Corn RM4.50
Broccoli RM4.50
Eryngii mushroom RM4.80
Glass Noodles RM4.50
Brown Rice RM3.00
Pea RM4.50
Wakame RM4.00
ShangHai Pak Choi RM4.80
TOTAL AMT after 10% discount: RM65.45
They also have veggie steamboat and mushroom steam boat sets, but I preferred to go ala carte for veggies, mushroom and seaweed so I could choose exactly what I wanted.
There’s a range of sauces to choose from - I only took the “cili potong” coz the veggies were quite nice on their own.
They also have ala carte dishes, but note some contain eggs and milk so check with them first. This is a vegetarian place, not vegan and vegan items are not clearly marked.
I asked in advance on FB whether they have vegan-friendly dishes and this is their reply:
“Actually all of our meal have no egg or milk
Only milky mushroom, buttery mushroom, curry milky mushroom, curry buttery mushroom have milk
For others like ramen or fried rice can request no egg ya”
