Vegetarian Chicken Rice for dinner.
Everything is pretty easy to made and all you need is to make sure your rice is on point and all is good.
I had the steam chicken, fried chicken, some stir fry veggies and cabbage to go with this set.
♡ Sesame oil rice Aka 香饭 (fragrant rice) ♡
You need: 1) 3 cups of rice 2) 5 Tbsp of Sesame Oil 3) lemon grass 3 stalks and chopped into 3 to 4 parts 4) salt 3/4 tbsp
How to make: 1) wash the rice and add in water to the mark for 3 cups of rice.
2) add in the sesame oil, lemon grass and and salt. Mixed well and put into the rice cooker to cook.
3) Once ready, remove the cooker lid and stir the rice.
■ Black sauce for rice: 1) 2 tbsp of premium thick dark soya sauce( do not buy those watery type) 2) 2 tbsp of sweet sauce
Mixed both of them in a small bowl and you can use it for your rice.
♡ Steam Chicken♡ ( Bought it from Friendly vegetarian. ) 1) Vegetarian Chicken 2 slices and cut into a 1.5 cm thick strip. 2) Place them on a plate with side that is curve up as you need to add seasoning in. 3) 1/2 water + 2 tbsp light soya sauce and 1tbsp sesame oil. Mix and pour over the chicken. 4) Steam for 20 minutes and you are done.
Note: you may change the amount of light soya sauce depending on how salty you want your steam chicken to be.
