Eating Lei Cha always makes me feel like I’m nourishing my body with delicious and nutritious food.
While on my adventure to discover the best Vegan Nasi Lemak, I’m also searching for the best Lei Cha.
That’s how I ended up ordering Lei Cha to-go at Lohas Vegetarian Bistro. At only RM13 (RM11.70 if you take advantage of KindMeal's discount) the price is unbeatable and the individual servings of vegetables were hearty enough to keep me satiated. They even packed the peanuts separately without my asking.
I tasted a hint of sweetness in the Choy Poh which didn’t taste real. But the natural sweetness of the carrots, the saltiness of the pickled Choy Poh, and the crunchy peanuts did a good job of balancing out the blandness of the
steamed veggies.
The next time I return, I’ll try either the Butterfly Pea Flower “Blue” Rice or Pandan Rice which are variations of Vegetarian Nasi Lemak with a twist.
