I added some turtle cutouts to this bento as a nod to World Turtle Day, which falls tomorrow.
This bento is turtle-friendly as it has no disposable packaging, is vegan and was made by someone who organises turtle volunteer programmes and beach cleanups every year (Yours Truly!)
Top: 'Christmas pudding' fruit muffin, salak fruit, starfruit and papaya.
Bottom: Thai-style salad of glass noodles, alfalfa, unripe papaya, jicama, purple cabbage, carrots and basil, with a spicy peanut sauce (peanut butter, chili sauce, sriracha sauce, birds' eye chillis, sugar and lime juice) topped with roasted homemade tempeh marinated in sambal and sriracha sauce, garnished with turtles cut out of basil leaves.
Been experimenting with food a lot lately.
