This was the-deal-that-almost-wasn't, thanks to some technical and communication issues. Thankfully, the restaurant was willing to honour the deal without activating the voucher and the polite and helpful service staff made my experience a very pleasant one. I have family in the East Coast and Nasi Ulam and Nasi Kerabu are some of the things I miss since going plant-based. This freshly-prepared and wholesome Nasi Ulam brought back memories of fishing boats by the beach, nesting turtles, and chickens and goats taking shelter under kampung houses on stilts during the monsoon season (yes, I have QUITE the imagination, thank you). The gravy is superb and it is difficult to believe that it contains no fish whatsoever. This Nasi Ulam is proof that clean eating doesn't have to be bland or boring. Will definitely be back, probably on my bike because parking in TTDI is murder on a Friday night.
