I've said many times that Secret Recipe's Beyond Veggie chain of restaurants doesn't disappoint. In fact, I keep loving them more with each visit. This bento meal set is Set 6 ('Kung Po' style mushroom set) on their set meal menu and is a real treat for the appetite and soul at only RM19 - 20. Their prices are midrange, but their food is fit for a king. A bowlxof rice is served with a platter of monkey head mushrooms (Hericium erinaceus), a mushroom with a chewy texture and meaty mouthfeel, coated in batter and fried, and then stir-fried with snow peas, baby corn, dried red chillies, carrot slices and other vegetables. And if that doesn't sound tantalising enough to you, each bento set comes with a bowl of spinach soup and 3 side dishes of Asian-style appetisers/ hors d'oeuvres. So much guilt-free wholesome deliciousness that you'd want to eat this every day.
