First attempt to make vegan omurice.
If you don't know what is OMURICE, nah, don't say I didn't tell you arh. Omurice = Omelette + rice, usually consists of tomato sauce fried rice wrapped in fried egg. You may think it is similar to pattaya fried rice and it is! Even though the term 'omurice' is from Japan, different cultures have their own version of omurice too! The fried rice is rather dry, would want to improve the recipe before sharing with you ;)
For the egg. I used to be a fried egg lover, now I chose to not eat egg anymore because animals are not for us to consume and exploit. You may ask, why leh? Egg is not meat mah! Egg is vegetarian what!
The truth is, consuming egg is still cruel because you're contributing to the torture and exploitation of chicken in egg industry. Every day, the egg industry kills countless of male baby chicks because they can't lay eggs. And female chicks are being raised to become like their mama to be exploited until they can no longer lay eggs, they will be slaughtered to be sold in the market. 🐤🐥😭
In order to mass produce eggs, chicken in the egg industry are being confined in a very small and dirty cage (estimated about a size of A4 paper) and have never seen the sunlight from the day they were born until they are died. How sad is that? 🐔🐣
Egg is tasty, but also pretty nasty. These poor chicken that live in such a nasty condition, what quality of egg do you expect from them? I don't believe anything good can come from a place that is full of suffering. How about you?🤔
Giving up egg is not easy, I know. But if you would like to try, here's a vegan egg mix recipe for you. Just swipe till the last photo to see. Save this post so you won't lost it 😉 I won't say it tastes exactly like egg, but it does make a good substitution! Cheap and easy hehe. Hope you like it!
