[RECIPE] Braised Tofu with Taro 🔪
Makes 3-4 servings
🔪Ingredients:
- 4 blocks firm tofu (about 100g per pc), cut each into 3 pieces
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 medium-sized taro/yam, cut into 16 pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cube red fermented bean curd 南乳 (nánrǔ)
- 1/2 cube fermented bean curd (pale colour) 腐乳 (fǔrǔ)
- 1 cup water*
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce*
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp five-spices powder
- a drizzle of Mei Gui wine/ Chinese rose cooking wine
- 1 stalk green onion
- corn starch waterr: 1/2 cup water + 1 tsp corn starch
