I place the bowl of freshly made raw vegan laksa noodles in front of him. He takes one spoonful.
"Is this good enough?," I ask him. I watch his body language closely. Actually, I don't really need to as he's always truthful when it comes to my food. If he hates it, he'll tell me. Like how he detests my lovingly fermented tempoyak or my beet kvass.
"Woah, it's intense!" was his first reaction. And then he takes a second spoonful. He smiles. He has this look of content on his face.
"It's GOOD!"
He slurps up more of the broth.
"It's very, very, very good," he assures me.
I believe he spoke the truth because he finished up every single bit in that bowl.
The #RawChefYin Laksa Noodles has passed the Quality Control test.
