#RawChefYin visits Water Lily Vegetarian Restaurant.
Their signboard says vegetarian but according to all the Happy Cow reviews, it's vegan. We were in the vicinity for work so I thought this would be the perfect place to have dinner. I also checked to see if they used milk in their curry and they assured me there's no milk, yay!
We had the: 1. Claypot Vegan Chicken Rice RM13 2. Curry Kueh Teow RM8.90 3. Red Bean Paste Bun RM1.70 4. BBQ Bun RM1.90 5. Barley Water RM2.00
I enjoyed everything we had. Lots of flavours and portions were fairly large. They do use a lot of mock meat though, so next time I might request to omit that. Also, unfortunately I could feel the after effects of MSG after the meal so I really must remember to request for no MSG.
Was quite funny as I was trying to practise speaking in Cantonese but after I placed all my orders, the server spoke to me in English instead.
The place looks like it's been there for a long time. They also sell vegetarian biscuits and sauces.
