Experimenting making sunflower seed yoghurt since I saw a few videos on YouTube doing that.
I used 2 cups of soaked sunflower seeds, 1 cup of filtered water, 1 tablespoon of water kefir grains and 1 tablespoon of palm sugar. From what I've researched, the sugar is to feed the water kefir grains so I thought I'd try that out. I normally don't add any sugar to my homemade yoghurt. I also decided I'd try putting it in my dehydrator at 41 degrees Celsius just so there's a constant warm temperature for the yoghurt to ferment properly. Fermented for 15 hours. Ended up with a nice tart taste BUT there was still a strong sunflower seed flavour so I blended it with the flesh of fresh mango.
That turned out pretty nice :) Here's how I served it!😋
