Spinach Chips (raw vegan) by #RawChefYin
My aunt gave me these Brazilian Spinach from her garden in PJ so I decided to make them into healthy Chinese New Year snacks. No, these are not spinach grown in Brazil. Someone told me I should support local veggies rather than buy something from Brazil. Ehmmm...this was grown on local soil and no, it wasn't flown in. Just that the name is Brazilian Spinach and also known by other names such as sissoo spinach. Sharing with you my recipe:
INGREDIENTS: 2 cups of Brazilian spinach leaves, pluck them off the stems 1/2 tablespoon organic coconut oil 1/8 teaspoon organic Himalayan pink salt 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
METHOD Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Use hands to massage until leaves are evenly coated with the mixture. Place on non-stick sheet and dehydrate in a food dehydrator at 45 Celsius for 6-8 hours or until crisp. I use the Excalibur Food Dehydrator.
Enjoy!
