#RawChefYin visits Casa Latina & Cacao Lab in Ampang!

We were in Ampang for work so decided to pop by for lunch since there's a new KindMeal.my meal deal here.

This is what we chose:

1. Vegan Arepa - Dress to Kill RM15
An everyday bread for Venezuelans, also popular in Colombia, the word arepa comes from ''Erepe'' which means corn in the language of Cumanagotos an indigenous group.

2. Vegan Tacos RM23

3. Arroz Chaufa RM20
Chinese fried rice in the style of chifa culinary tradition based on chinese cantonese elements fused with traditional peruvian ingredients and traditions. - we requested for a vegan version, on the menu they can do vegetarian

I liked the first two a lot. Very flavoursome. Mushrooms were used to replace the meat. The Arroz Chaufa was a bit on the oily side for me. But it was a nice big serving so that was good :)

This is a Latin American Restaurant and Cacao Lab, that serve all kinds of South American food located only in Persiaran Ampang. It's not a vegetarian or vegan place but they do have their some vegan options clearly marked on the menu. They also offer a regular Vegan Monday set meals for RM30+ but the KindMeal coupon doesn't cover the sets.

The staff were friendly and seemed to be familiar with veganism as they have regular vegans from ISKL coming over to eat. Parking was quite difficult to find though, we ended up parking by the houses.
