FUNDAMENTALS OF RAW CUISINE LESSON 1: NORI HAND ROLL
Back to school at @foodfutureinstitute and feeling so energised. I think one of the best things is being able to connect with so many fellow coursemates from all over the world.
These were my Nori Hand Rolls. The first two turned out not so nice but it got better after that. I had to read the instructions over and over again to figure it out. I usually make sushi and not temaki ie nori hand rolls(I wonder why?) so even though I’ve eaten loads of hand rolls, I haven’t actually made much.
Oh, can you spot the pickled red cabbage in my rolls? That’s from the 7 Days of Raw Food by 7 Raw Food Chefs guided meal plan. It’s a component of the beautiful Jicama Tacos with Pineapple Salsa and Hemp Queso by @crystal_dawn_culinary - who is one of the professional raw food chefs who contributed to this epic meal plan.
You can use the pickled cabbage in so many of your other dishes too - I’ve been throwing them into my salads, on top of my crackers and onto my quinoa bowls.
