First time making idli! Decided to use Organicule superfoods and My Blue Tea powder to colour it too 🙂
Didn't have an idli mould so used my silicone sphere mould instead hahahaha
Also used brown rice and cooked quinoa to make it healthier. It's not as soft and fluffy as traditional idli but Mr Jazz Guitarist LOVED it.
To be honest, I'm like wait so idli is just rice + urad dhal so why not just pop them into the rice cooker and cook them and eat.
No need to susah susah soak, grind, ferment, steam?
But actually the fermentation adds such interesting character to the idli lahhhh 🙂
