FLOUR + WATER LESSON: CAVATELLI
My submission to @foodfutureinstitute:
πβThis was lots of fun and pretty straightforward to make. I don't have a gnocchi board and in these restricted times it's hard to find one so I tried different things: γ°οΈ My wavy cake cutter γ°οΈ Cheese grater γ°οΈ Kitchen helper tool with ridges γ°οΈ Sushi mat γ°οΈ Large fork In the end, the fork worked.
Yay, may the Fork be with you. (sorry, couldn't resist the lame pun)
I'm SO ENJOYING this module now -- which is quite surprising as I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like it too much coz I don't usually work with white flour. My first time in my life buying semolina flour - hehe.
No parsley so I used sunflower microgreens and peashoots instead π
Thanks for the lesson!βπ
INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK: πHi Yin! Outstanding work! This is such a simple dish, that works well in so many ways! Perfect for any time of the year and any occasion. I'm so glad you made it work with a fork, it's my favourite method too π Your pasta was rolled really nicely and the cavatelly are just the right size for a perfect bite! Lovely garnish. I also like the colour of plate you chose and how it creates a good contrast for the photo. Looking forward to seeing your next work!π
