Raw Vegan Quiche!
For the crust, I used Russel's recipe: 1 tbsp flaxseed, ground 1 cup cashews, soaked 2 hours 1/4 cup macadamia nuts, soaked 2 hours 2 tsp nutritional yeast 2 tsp @marylebonegroup coconut oil 1/4 tsp salt 3 tbsp water 1 tbsp lemon juice
Here's what I used for the filling: 1 cup of coconut meat ¼ tsp paprika ¼ tsp @organicule turmeric ¼ tsp black salt 2 tsp psyllium husk
Also added some homemade tempeh bacon, microgreens from @thefarmasia and red radish.
Ok so the tempeh isn't technically raw but everything else is!
I'm supposed to make a baked quiche for my @foodfutureinstitute assignment but since i ran out of all purpose flour, I decided to make a raw vegan one instead.
Loved the taste - and no icky feeling I usually get when eating baked quiche.
