🌱VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES with Raw Chef Yin - No Meat in Section 19, PJ🌱
We were in SS2 PJ for my TCM treatment so we decided to have lunch in PJ. We actually walked all the way to Lotus Pond Putian only to find it closed. I think it’s closed for some time as I saw on Google Map someone said they asked the neighbour and apparently it’s been closed for a year. If anyone knows, please let me know! I’ve informed Happy Cow about the possibility of it being closed.
So we walked another 10 minutes to No Meat instead.
This is a vegetarian restaurant and they were able to veganise our dishes. Vegan dishes are not marked, so need to check with the server. For some dishes, they do indicate that there’s egg. They said the rendang usually uses dairy milk but they were able to omit it. The tofu has no egg in it. The mushrooms don’t have egg in them either according to the server.
We had: ✅Rendang Monkey Head Mushroom RM19.90 (small) ✅Hakka Style Yam & Bean Curd Pot (s) RM17.90 (B) RM34.90 ✅Dry Bak Kut Teh RM19.90 (s) ✅White Rice RM2.50 per plate
There’s a lot of mock meat on the menu but the dishes we chose didn’t have mock meat. They used tofu and mushrooms as the meat substitute.
Too bad they don’t serve brown rice. The food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the rendang. Would definitely go back again to try the other dishes.
Place was clean, servers were nice.
