I made some adaptations based on what I have. Here’s what I used:
MY INGREDIENTS - substitutions are not Turkish, hehe 1 medium size onion, small dice 1 tablespoon sweet paprika ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1 tomato, diced 1 tablespoon Organicule Baobab powder 1 tablespoon gochugaru + 1 tablespoon Mu soy sauce since I didn’t have tatli biter salcasi (mild Turkish pepper paste) 1 ⅔ cups dried red lentils 6 cups bean water ¼ cup black rice ¼ cup quinoa since I didn’t have coarse bulgur All natural shio koji from Be Real
My toppings: Pink peppercorn Fresh coriander leaves
This turned out super yummy. So satisfying and the ultimate in comfort food.
