🔴VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES with Raw Chef Yin - Red House 2 Private Kitchen in Cheras🔴

This place has been recommended to us by a number of people so yesterday was a good time to go there since it’s a public holiday and there’s no traffic jams. I didn’t make reservations though as I wasn’t sure what time we would arrive. It’s actually recommended that you book a table in advance as they don’t have that many tables.

We obviously tied in the trip with a visit to the park first to happily look at the storks there 🙂
The bibimbap was recommended and also the BKT. We also wanted to have the Hainan Curry Claypot but they said they don’t offer those 3 dishes anymore since last month. Sob sob.
The server recommended the Dragonfruit Fried Rice but I wasn’t too keen on that.

We had:
✅(R-11] Braised Tofu with Yam
Thick & fragrant yam slices braised with tofu chip. Served with embryo rice and soup

✅R16. Superior Claypot Mushroom Soup *with Rice RM23.00
Superior broth with assorted mushrooms and fuzhuk. Served with Embryo rice.
✅[R-4] Fried Lei Cha Rice (combination of fried rice and Lei Cha soup, served with of assorted veg) RM22
✅[AL-4] Vegan Unagi
Vegan Unagi with seaweed in Teriyaki sauce topped with vegan floss RM17

I enjoyed the braised tofu with yam a lot. The soup seemed quite light… would have been nicer if there’s more flavour and depth to it. Diyana said she prefers the soupy Lei Cha rather than a fried lei cha. The vegan unagi was delicious but it didn’t taste like unagi 😉
Oh, Diyana wanted to order a latte but they don’t have plant-based milk. Such a pity since they call themselves vegan-friendly.

Would I go back again? Yes, if I’m in the Cheras area. But I wouldn’t drive all the way there there’s always traffic jams in Cheras!

This is in a house in a housing area so parking might be a bit harder to find. We parked further away and walked over.
