♨️VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES WITH Raw Chef Yin - SukaVeg Steamboat, Kepong♨️
This was a last minute decision to eat here as we were supposed to eat at home. I generally try to avoid eating out on public holidays as there’s usually a big crowd and we don’t enjoy our food much with too much noise and crowds.
But our park walk turned out to be longer than expected so we thought we’d pop by here as we’ve seen the postings on the Vegetarian Society Malaysia group and also tried the SukaVeg BKT at VegFest.
We had: ✅SET A (1-2 PPL) RM39.90 ✅Mix Soup - Add on Tom Ya RM12.00 ✅Claypot Bak Kut Teh RM15.90 Sub Total 67.80 Service Charge (%) 4.07 Total RM71.90
We called ahead to ensure that there’s enough vegan friendly food here. This is a vegetarian steamboat place. They assured us there’s a lot of items with no egg and no dairy. The menu indicates which items have eggs and dairy, so I’m really glad that’s clearly marked. We took the set which was supposed to be for 1-2 people. As we tend to eat a lot, this portion was only good enough for 1 person.
So we ordered the Claypot Bak Kut Teh as well. The ingredients for the steamboat was fresh. Much fresher than the ones you get at steamboat buffets in other places. Oooh, there’s lots of sauces as well to choose from. I took the Thai Chilli Sauce and another sauce that was made in-house and not merely from a bottle. But if you’re going for value for money, then it’s best to go for other places that offer buffets. It was surprisingly quiet for a public holiday. Hopefully more people will support them! Service was great and the staff were really attentive. We found parking at the open air lot nearby.
