We were still a bit hungry after that so we ordered dessert. There were 3 options and we took:
🍧Warabi Mochi RM38
🍵Uji Matcha Tiramisu RM50 (eeeks! This was expensive. They didn’t have a print menu yet so I didn’t know the price. But the tiramisu was very good. But RM50 for that block? Hmmmm…)
Total for 3 of us came up to RM620.60
We loved the lunch! Such a great dining experience.
I’ve eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the world led by Japanese chefs (Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, KL, US) so this was definitely an authentic Japanese experience for me.
I liked how the focus was on creative use of vegetables instead of using mock meat.
We did tell them it would have been nice to have more mayo on the layered potato and also the rice was a bit too dry in the Unagi Modoki. Apparently they’re using brown rice in that dish. I would have preferred Japanese rice just for the authenticity. Amy said next time they’ll serve us more mayo and sauce on the side 🙂

It’s hard to take good photos with our phone though as it’s quite dark and the way the place is lighted casts too many shadows.

The bowls and plates are very pretty but I almost found it a bit difficult to eat without being noisy coz when you use your spoon it hits the bowl and it’s loud.

Mum pointed out that it's a bit strange that a 5-course menu doesn't have dessert.
(Yeah... I remember having to design 5-course menus at Food Future Institute for my assignments and also during my pop-up fine dining experiences we always included dessert in a multi-course meal. I think my chef instructor would have marked me down if I didn't include dessert in the 5th course!)

I pointed this out but the answer was there's dessert in the 8-course menu.
We enjoyed the restaurant tour especially taking time to spot the Totoro in their indoor garden.
Amy took good care of us throughout the lunch. Thanks Amy!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Would love to go back again soon!
You can request for no onion, no garlic too.
