🌱VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES with Raw Chef Yin - S.pace Cafe🌱

We saw on that there’s a new vegetarian cafe that just opened in Bandar Menjalara. And there’s a KindMeal.mymeal deal for 15% off at S.pace Cafe.

And since I was going to be around that area running errands, we decided to pop by to check it out.

I messaged them in advance on Instagram to ask what I could eat and this was the reply:
“U can try our breakfast (egg part will take off add more mushroom to you) , Shakshouka+sourdough (will take off the egg part)

Pesto , salad with calamansi sauce, peanut butter bagel, black pepper tofu rice, pumpkin tofu rice.”

(Actually after speaking to them in person, the pumpkin tofu rice has cream, so that’s out. I’m also not sure if the bagel is actually vegan.. I also didn’t check if the Pesto has cheese as I wasn’t interested in pesto. If you’re going, do double check. It most probably has cheese… If it doesn’t, do let me know.)

We had:
✅Mixed Greens + Nuts + Tempeh + Quinoa (omit egg and replace with mushrooms) RM23
Note: the Homemade Passion Fruit Dressing contains honey so they gave us a sesame dressing instead. I asked what’s in the sesame dressing and they showed me the bottle with the label so it’s vegan. (not WFPB 😁but it’s vegan)
The salad wasn’t very filling - would have liked to have a much bigger portion for the price of RM23…
✅Black Pepper Tofu RM18
I liked this a lot. I think it was a good portion. I wonder if the sauce is from a bottle but they did make it well.
Initially we wanted to have the Lion’s Mane Mushrooms Teriyaki but the Lion’s Mane Mushroom has eggwash on it so that was out.

Quite a limited menu at the moment.

It had a really nice cafe vibe. Very cozy and they also share the space with a gown rental so there’s actually not that many seats, bear that in mind if you’re going in a big group.

This is a vegetarian cafe so you need to let them know you’re vegan and you don’t want any eggs, dairy or other animal products such as honey. The lady who served us was super nice and tried very hard to accommodate our vegan requests.

I parked at street parking near the Manjalara park and took a short walk to the cafe. It’s on the 2nd floor so be prepared to walk up.
