The Gadhimai Temple Trust made an announcement to end the animal sacrifice at the Gadhimai festival. During the festival, which takes place every five years in Southern Nepal, and is the largest animal sacrifice in the world, tens of thousands of animals are brutally slaughtered in the name of tradition.
