World Day for Farmed Animals!
Each year, an estimated 70 billion cows, pigs, chickens and other sentient land animals are caged, crowded, drugged, mutilated and macerated in the world's factory farms. It's said that the number of aquatic animals that are caught and suffocated could be in the trillions. Those that survive those conditions and make it to slaughter suffer a horrific death, all for a moment's pleasure at our dinner table.
The annual observance of World Day for Farmed Animals on October 2nd offers a chance to memorialize and mourn these innocent lives, as well as an opportunity to encourage friends and family to try veg options.
Please join us and the millions of people who are embracing a life where animals are considered friends, not food.
