Wild About Arts Campaign

Roots & Shoots Malaysia will be in partnership with Berjaya Youth, they will be embarking on an inspirational project to enlighten as many young minds as possible on Malaysia’s treasured but endangered animals. This project will mainly focus on the #OrangUtan, the #GreenTurtle, and the #AsianElephant with help from the following organizations; Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia, ORANGUTAN APPEAL UK, Jabatan Perhilitan Semenanjung Malaysia.

These amazing organizations will be conducting awareness talks at various schools throughout Peninsular Malaysia. In addition, students from these schools will be building sculptures of these animals out of waste materials that are appropriate for upcycling and recycling. The arts and crafts workshop at each school will be conducted by their very own skilled arts and crafts trainer.

They are in need of volunteers who are committed and love helping little people with their arts and crafts. They need one volunteer for each school that they will be visiting over the coming months to guide and help them with their art pieces. This project will not only educate children about the importance of proper waste disposal and Malaysia’s endangered wildlife, but also give them the opportunity to express their creative minds to create pieces of art.
