Kind-Hearted Bear Rescues Drowning Crow
Vali, a grizzly bear at Budapest Zoo, impressed onlookers when it came to the rescue of a drowning crow.
Seeing the bird flapping around in the water, the bear can be seen climbing onto a rock and trying to fish the crow out. Unable to catch the bird, the bear follows it to the other side of the pond.
It then tries to pull the creature out of the water again, this time with more success. Safely on land, the crow appears to be stunned by the unexpected actions of the bear.
It takes the bird a few minutes before it is back on its feet, where it stares at its rescuer. The footage was filmed by visitor Aleksander Medveš and posted online earlier this summer.
How many humans would stop to save a drowning crow? We have much to learn from this compassionate bear.
