Last week, Animal Equality took part in a historic event as the members of the UK Parliament met to discuss the suffering of farmed fish for the first time! Our UK team was invited to this roundtable to present footage from our investigation inside a Scottish fish slaughterhouse. 🐟
Despite the growing recognition that fish can feel, aquatic animals receive minimal protection under UK law. It's time for these laws to be strengthened. And that's what the Animal Welfare Committee of the UK Parliament, with the help of the images captured by Animal Equality, is hoping to accomplish.
