Chickens killed for food are prisoners in their own bodies. They are forced to grow quickly and unnaturally large because of genetic selection. In Animal Equality's latest investigation in Italy, footage captured between 2019-2022 shows how "fast-growing" chickens used for meat not only suffer from the pain of their own bodies, but also in the filthy living conditions they are kept in.
