The Spanish government has made video surveillance cameras mandatory in all slaughterhouses. 🐷📹

Though this is a step in the right direction, it also allows these facilities to be the authority that reviews the footage captured by their cameras. Animal Equality is demanding the footage is analyzed by independent authorities and that it is accessible to the public.
