Every law semester, Animal Outlook's Legal Advocacy program welcomes dedicated student interns from law schools, offering them the opportunity to learn alongside our skilled attorneys. These interns play a crucial role in advancing litigation and policy projects aimed at safeguarding farmed animals. Throughout their time with us, interns delve into various legal theories, including state criminal cruelty laws, administrative law, false advertising and unfair competition laws, tort liability, and corporate law. Meet Samantha, who at a young age developed a relationship with hens, and is now dedicated a career in creating a more sustainable and cruelty-free food system.
