Animal Outlook''s Undercover Investigation Of Tyson-contracted Jannat Farm In Vir..
Animal Outlook's undercover investigation of Tyson-contracted Jannat Farm in Virginia uncovered horrifying cruelty towards a flock of 150,000 birds. The investigation revealed food and water deprivation, violence against birds, untreated illness and injury, filthy and dangerous housing conditions, and evidence that Tyson was aware of these cruel practices. As a result, 17 animal cruelty charges were filed against the owner and manager. Last week, the manager pleaded guilty to three counts of animal cruelty, receiving a 12-month suspended sentence [on each count for a period of one year], a fine, and a ban on working with animals during that time. Charges against the owner are still pending.
