A Japanese company Tange & Nakimushi Peanuts made a photographic series of settings that combine cats and sushi. The cats are placed on stacks of rice, wrapped in pieces of seaweed. The funny props are meant to closely resemble different kinds of raw fish and sushi combos.

We love these photos – they're whimsical and silly, right? Because who is their right mind would really think of eating cat sushi?

Cats are pets, and we love them. While you might not feel inclined to cuddle an octopus, do you know they're intelligent enough to have mastered the use of tools? We may know that fish can feel pain as much as our beloved moggies, but we choose not to think about it.
