Trouper the Blind Raccoon
Trouper the Blind Raccoon
Wildlife rehabilitator Dorothy “Dot” Lee explains how she rescued Trouper the Blind Raccoon after he was injured by a golfer in North Carolina who beat him with a golf club when he was only eight weeks old. Dorothy tells the story how the injuries left Trouper blind, unable to smell, and temporarily deaf at their house in Fort Myers, FL on Monday, May 16, 2016.
With Dot's help, Trouper has recovered well enough to become an ambassador -- he now goes with Dot to schools and nursing homes to spread the word about RESPECT. Respect that humans owe to the other species on this earth. We cheer Dot and Trouper, and if we're interested in respecting animals, how about eating fewer of them?
A meat-free diet is not only more compassionate for animals but also respectful for the ecology of our planet. Check out http://KindMeal.my for lots of delicious alternatives to meat.
