Scientists hadn't seen the Vanzolini saki monkey alive in 80 years... until now.
After years of searching, researchers have photographic evidence of the elusive monkey. The Vanzolini saki monkey is unique from other species of saki monkeys because it has gold-colored legs.
Saki monkeys don’t have prehensile tails, so they run through trees on all fours. One researcher said the Saki monkey moves more like a house cat than a monkey.
