Amazing news out of Europe!
After a campaign by Animal Equality and additional efforts by other members of the Open Wing Alliance, such as The Humane League, GAIA, L214 Ethique et Animaux, Otwarte Klatki, Animals Romania, and Animals International, Carrefour has announced they will ban cages for hens across Europe!
Carrefour serves 13 million customers every day so this is incredible news and a huge milestone for hens who are exploited for their eggs while being confined inside cramped wire cages. Although cage-free doesn't mean cruelty-free, we are excited about this major step forward. ✊❤️
