Tempura = deep fried food in batter in Japanese.
Although most people prefer the raw side of Japanese cooking especially sushi & cold soba; I prefer those soup brewed for ages & pipping hot food e.g. grilled food with teriyaki sauce, tempura..well basically street food.
Price range per stick/piece for vegetarian range cost between RM2-3 & usually only 1-2 sticks available at the tray & patrons can request for fresh ones.
The size itself can put to many other places to shame. It is huge! Bigger than my palm. The mushroom are the mid-size ones not the button mushroom ok.
Pic. here are: Shitake mushroom (Yes! the King of Mushroom!)
Satsusaimo (which means "Sweet Potato" but sounds & looks similar to Sammo (Hung) the martial arts celebrity)
Korokke (which is "Kerokko the frog"... opsy I mean "Croquette" which are mashed potatoes in breadcrumb! *haha gotcha!*
You did be surprise to find this place selling such affordable food at Mont Kiara! Although it is well known for it's famous handmade Udon but I fell in love with it's tempura.
Close friends & family members am aware that I turned into my "Cookie Monster" mode when it comes tempura, usually they would leave me alone... :D for safety reasons :D
