There are so many non-meat dishes which I absolutely love at this place called Kodawari Menya.
Kodawari = no compromise Menya = noodle house
It is well known for it's famous traditional handmade Udon & Tempura.
These are some of the side dishes which you can top on to your Udon (or not). All of it are cooked & marinated while the tofu is slightly grilled.
My favourite on this the plate is a type of seaweed kelp called Kombu. It is thicker than normal Japanese/Korean seaweed & often used ingredient in birthday soup for Koreans. Per stick has 3 rolls.
The 2 round ones are Radish & Egg already boiled in soup stock & the rectangle one is Konjac Jelly.
Pretty funny eating Jelly for a main meal right? But it's tasty.
The price range: RM2 something per item. For that size & quality, I would say it's worth it. That place practise self service thus you can pick ALL your own dishes, condiments & also required to return the plates & etc. clean up yourself. :D
