Matcha Affagato from WA Cafe

Before Chinese New Year, a group of friends did Coffee hopping and we tried this Match (*Green Tea in Japanese) and Affagato (*Drowned in Italian) - is a coffee-based beverage.

It's usually served slightly cold with a scoop of milky based gelato/ ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.

It is slightly more thick and bitter since pure quality Japanese matcha was used and WA Cafe's a Japanese cafe at Pavilion with top baristas. Unfortunately... this cafe has ceased operation :(

This post is dedicated to good matcha & excellent Japanese quality food & beverage.

Yeah. When I spoke to their Marketing Manager & the barista (who later bcm awesomes good top 20 in Barista Championships) - each of the product - ingredients were best in the market. Specially imported, specially brewed.

Unfortunately, I have to admit business are a bit slow despite the hotspot location at Pavilion. Not only this place but a few of my favourites at that mall also mysteriously closed down.

Their match cake, chocolate drinks were very good too. Unique unlike others around.

I suspect the cost + lack of certain appreciation for Japanese style coffee.
Competition is high coz. got a few other "oh-10-tic" type of coffee.
There's another stall tht serves nice Vietnamese coffee downstairs, although cheaper it also didn't last at Pavilion.
