Green Meadow was established in 2004. Its primary purpose is to promote healthful diet and lifestyle. "Health can be built by changing diet and lifestyle" - this is the idea of Green Meadow’s founder, Mdm. Chin Chew Lian, and her husband, Mr. Teay Hiong Kiah, a Chinese medicine practitioner. Since its establishment, it has been committed to the promotion of natural diet, the balance between body and soul, environmental conservation, as well as healthy and free lifestyle. The ground floor of Green Meadow is a health shop which provides natural and organic vegetables, whole grains, functional supplements, etc – for the convenience of customers when nutritionists give them advice on care and treatment of all aspects. In addition, the slogan of Green Meadow is to provide a place in the community where one can have healthful meals everyday. There is an organic cafe at the first floor, serving a variety of healthful and delicious cuisines in line with the whole food approach. The café has specially prepared a 31-day whole food package with different menu everyday – to provide its clients abundant nutrition everyday to help body repair and physical health. The cafe has also attentively tailored recipes for individuals with different physical conditions. Green Meadow strongly supports the education of community about nutrition and diet principles. It has set up an academy at second floor, with experienced lecturers to conduct courses on nutrition and natural therapies. It provides the public more health care information and helps them to understand that prevention is better than cure. Rather than changing eating habits only after falling ill, it is better to pay attention to nutritious and well balanced diet daily. Many patients with chronic diseases have achieved improvement in their health condition and symptoms by following recipes designed by nutritionists. The Professional Diploma offered by Green Meadow not only helps students to enhance their credentials but also gives them a platform to start their own business. There is also nutrition and natural therapies center on the second floor, providing diagnosis, counseling and natural therapies. Green Meadow promotes not only the cleansing of body but also the conservation of the environment. It is more than willing to contribute to the community by providing one-stop health and education services - working together with the community to build a healthy and happy life.

We do not use "five kinds of whites", that are flour, sugar, white oil, white salt and white rice. All this is replaced by brown rice, organic salt, organic sugar, organic whole wheat flour and olive oil. It is not only very healthy but also delicious!

Greenleaf Hut (叶子坊) is founded by Madam Dan, a proud recipient of the National Top Ten Hainanese Chicken Rice Awards which was jointly sponsored by Guangming Daily and NTV7. Madam Dan has served delicious Hainanese chicken rice to her patrons for over 40 years. It’s no wonder why with so many years of cooking experience under her belt, Madam’s chicken rice bursts of flavours that has developed through years of passion and dedication. However in recent years, she has chosen to practice a lifestyle of vegetarianism through wholesome, healthy foods. “I would like to do my best for the health of my diners,” she puts it simply and vows to promote this healthy eating lifestyle. And Greanleaf Hut is born. Madam Dan still true to her roots as a Hainanese, however, will not give up her love for her famous chicken rice. With that thought in mind and believing that even by giving up meats, no one should miss out on eating delicious, authentic dishes, she creates “Hainan Fragrant Rice”. This vegetarian version of the Hainanese Chicken Rice promises to retain the aroma and taste of the original in its own special twist. Adhering to the premise of a healthy lifestyle, and in addition to "Hainan Fragrant Rice", Greenleaf Hut also has other familiar local dishes on its menu.
