VickedGood is the first 100% vegan bakery in Malaysia, which started operations in the middle of the Covid pandemic. VickedGood is based in Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya, with a central bakery and retail space with limited tables available for dine-in. More and more Malaysians are moving towards a healthier and more wholesome plant-based lifestyle and whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, have an egg or lactose allergy, or are simply curious about vegan desserts, our vegan breads and desserts will appeal to you! We have also found that many Malaysians, though not initially vegan, are embracing the vegan lifestyle out of a concern for animal welfare. We aim to introduce everyone to vegan breads and desserts that look and taste as good as, or even better than, regular ones. With current lifestyle trends, we foresee that plant-based desserts will become mainstream for everyone in the near future. Sita Lakshmi and Sheila Philip are both qualified bakers and café owners with a combined total of 16 years experience in the F&B industry. Sita’s first venture into F&B with two cafes in Cameron Highlands then led to discovering a passion for baking. Progressing from vegetarianism to veganism and on a mission to veganize a lot of desserts, it’s been a technically challenging but professionally exciting journey. With over 20 years in the IT industry, Sheila made the switch to F&B in honour of her late husband’s memory. Her late husband had always had a passion and deft hand with cooking & baking, and in honour of his memory, she took up baking and has loved every moment of it. Our founders met nearly a decage ago to troubleshoot a recipe and formed an instant connection. Two years of discussions to start something up together and one pandemic later, here we are!
