Made these raw vegan bread rolls yesterday. Ate the for breakfast today in the park. There were also 2 other bread roll shapes but I ate them up while testing to see if they were fully dehydrated. The thing about raw bread is you can eat them at any time of the dehydrating process so I usually only end up with half of what goes into the dehydrator. I was also doing research on how traditional bread is shaped. So much fun and creativity involved. But with raw bread it's not so dough-like and pliable before it goes into the dehydrator so that takes some adjusting as well. I actually made some plaited ones too but ate them all up before I took any photos. I wonder if I should go for classes on how to shape bread, does anyone wanna teach me?
Recipe was adapted from Deviliciously Raw.
2 cups sunflower seeds ⅓ cup flax seeds ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes, soaked in 1 tbsp olive oil ½ red onion 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp organic miso paste A pinch of pink Himalayan salt ¼ cup filtered water 1 tsp oregano 2 tablespoons of psyllium husk
Note to self: make sure sundried tomatoes are sufficiently rehydrated in olive oil coz it took me a some time to get them into the desired size.
