Made papaya boats again recently, this was inspired by an article I read in @PurelyB.
MINI LESSON ON CREATING PAPAYA BOATS by Raw Chef Yin 1. It's actually pretty easy to create pretty papaya boats. Just slice the papaya and cut up your fruits, add superfoods of your choice and place on top.
2. The trick is to think of colours and shapes. So you can see for COLOURS: I have yellow bananas, red dragon fruit, green ulam raja, white grated coconut, brown chocolate sauce and cacao nibs.
3. And then you have SHAPES: star, circles, balls, seeds, flakes, nibs, sauce - all these add textures and interests.
4. BACKGROUND: When you place it on the wooden board, this has woody grains. And together place it against a coloured background, it gives layers.
There you have it - your mini lesson in creating a papaya boat. We are so blessed to live in Malaysia which has lovely papayas pretty much all year round. Let's appreciate our local fruits. Happy making!
